Job Title:   GRANTS COORDINATOR

Starting Salary:   $4,739 - $7,857 per month

Job Description:   VIA is the designated recipient of FTA Section 5310 Grant funding for the San Antonio Urbanized Area (UZA). This position oversees the FTA Section 5310 grant local program creation, documentation, financial accountability, compliance and oversight of multiple 5310 grant sub recipients. The Grants Coordinator will work closely with sub recipient inspections and oversight, accounting and data systems to ensure accurate reporting of financial and programmatic activities. A vast majority of time will be to ensure sub recipient’s compliance with federal, state, local government and VIA regulations, applicable FTA circulars, applicable statutes, codes, ordinances, safety standards and policies. The Grants Coordinator works directly with grants and special funds staff to ensure adequate internal controls, accuracy of the financial reporting systems and compliance with all regulatory agencies. This position may be required to assist in the preparation of forecasts, audits, financial reporting and other studies based on various operating statistics.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum two (2) years of progressively increasing responsibility in grants management administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination.
