Job Title:   SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST -P&G ACCOUNTING

Starting Salary:   $5,315 - $9,155 per month

Job Description:   The Projects & Grants Accounting Analyst will provide project and grant accounting, analysis and reporting assistance for VIA’s Capital Budget & Grants team. This position is responsible for handling a wide variety of complex accounting and budgeting work and assists in the financial management of federal/state/locally funded projects. Requires thorough knowledge of public sector/grant accounting practices and principles. Must ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government rules/regulations, circulars and policies. Works directly with projects, grants, and fixed asset accounting staff to ensure proper accounting of capital and grant related financial transactions. Performs specialized technical work of considerable complexity and responsibility requiring a significant amount of knowledge of theory/practice in accounting/finance and grant management. Work is performed under minimal supervision, and requires initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to develop effective solutions.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively increasing responsibility in accounting, grant management, finance, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination in a public sector setting.
