Job Title:   CONTROLLER

Starting Salary:   Min: $6,884 – Mid: $9,469 per month

Job Description:   Performs specialized technical work of considerable complexity and responsibility requiring a considerable amount of knowledge of theory and practice in accounting and finance, and expertise and experience in maintaining accounting records. Responsible for preparing financial reports and determining accounting procedures to be used. Work is performed under general direction only and requires initiative and independent judgment to analyze data or situations and determine solutions to problems based on standard accounting practices and VIA policy. Responsible for all General Accounting work, including but not limited to work relating to the General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payables and Receivables. Also handles ticket accounting. Provides supervision and assistance to Accounting staff. Requires the knowledge and ability to apply accounting theory and practice.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and at least five (5) years accounting experience, or an equivalent combination. CPA strongly preferred.
