Job Title:   MANAGER OF PAYROLL

Starting Salary:   $6,318 - $10,993 per month

Job Description:   Performs specialized technical work which requires a considerable amount of knowledge in maintaining the competent performance of the section's specific tasks. Responsible for the payroll functions of VIA involving time and record keeping, recording of employee earnings, payroll deductions, reconciliation of payroll discrepancies and submission of reports. Work is performed under general direction only. Plans and arranges own work. Requires initiative and independent judgment to analyze data or situations and determine solutions based on VIA policy and working condition agreement. Requires strong skills working with Payroll System Software. Provides supervision and training for technical staff.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field and at least three (3) years payroll experience or an equivalent combination of the above.
