Job Title:   DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS/ SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAMS/ DBE LIAISON OFFICER (DBELO)

Starting Salary:   $7,933 - $13,658 per month

Job Description:   The Director of Business/Supplier Diversity Programs/DBE Liaison Officer (DBELO) administers, and provides guidance and consulting to VIA leadership and the Board of Trustees on, all VIA’s Business/Supplier Diversity Programs, including but not limited to, VIA’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for compliance with federal regulations to ensure federal funding. Responsible for VIA’s Small Business Enterprise(SBE) Program for locally funded procurements. Manages personnel responsible fordevelopment, implementation, compliance and reporting functions forVIA’s Business/Supplier Diversity Programs including VIA’s DBE and SBE programs; as well as coordinating and interfacing withVIA’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Title VI (Civil Rights) programs.

Education and Experience:   Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public or Business Administrationor related field required. Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in public involvement, community or business development, or a public agency environment.Minimum of five(5) years of direct DBE, SWMBE, EEO and Title VI (Civil Rights) experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
