Job Title:   SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Starting Salary:   $5,789 - $10,034 per month

Job Description:   The Systems Engineer, under the supervision of the Manager of Technology Operations, is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, maintenance, and repair of systems consisting of SAN, VMware, VDI, Virtual File System and Networking systems hardware, Blade servers, Microsoft clustering, Active Directory, Citrix, and others responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows and multi-OS and hardware environment (On Premise and Cloud based). The Systems Engineer provides investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure. This role includes designing and providing short and long term strategic planning for the active monitoring and improving system performance and capacity, planning for future expansion requirements, trending of growth, planning decommissioning of aging systems, and oversight of systems projects. The Systems Engineer will act in conjunction with other IT members to design and enhance the enterprise systems. This position reports directly to the Manager of Technology Operations.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor’s degree in an information technology, computer science, or a related field and 5 years’ experience in systems administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive systems administration/engineering experience required. Extensive Active Directory and Virtualization Design skills required. VMWare, VDI, Clustering, and Citrix experience required. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) required. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
