Job Title:   DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Starting Salary:   Commensurate with experience

Job Description:   Supports VIA Metropolitan Transit’s information technology programs in a Microsoft SQL Server and Windows enterprise environment. Manage a SQL Server environment leveraging a wide array of configurations, including local and multi-site failover clustering and VMware virtualization.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field - 5 or more years as a Database Administrator/Application Support or Developer - to include at least 2 years in debugging, optimization tuning and troubleshooting skills, including experience in analyzing and troubleshooting the interactions between databases, operating systems and applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
