Job Summary
Job Title:   PROJECT MANAGER - ENVIRONMENTAL

Starting Salary:   $5,315 - $9,155 per month

Job Description:   This position is assigned a leadership role in planning, development, and coordination of environmental tasks and projects. The position would work independently on complex projects and/or serve as project leads to provide direction to other planners or project team members. This position is responsible for assuring that environmental studies and documents for agency projects are in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act, Presidential Executive Orders, and other Federal, State, and local environmental laws and requirements. This position is also responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis and specialized studies, drafts policies and developing project specific work programs, scopes of work, independent cost estimates, budgets, and grant requests in support of environmental programs, tasks, or plans. Works closely with all functions, but very closely with engineering, real estate, public engagement, procurement, fleet/facilities, and financial functions.

Education and Experience:   A Bachelor’s (Master’s degree preferred) in Environmental Science, Engineering; Planning or related field and minimum three (5) years progressively responsible experience in environmental planning/review field, including project management experience or an equivalent combination. Familiarity with Federal, State and local planning processes, rules, and programs is required.
