Job Title:   MANAGER OF ENGINEERING

Starting Salary:   Min: $7,004 – Mid: $9,740 per month

Job Description:   Responsible to the Director of Capital Programs for VIA’s architectural, engineering, and construction management functions. Assists the Director with: divisional level program design and execution; agency-wide facility feasibility, conception, design and construction; and division level operational plans and budgets. Applies independent, professional expertise, judgment, and leadership in the development of a broad range of agency projects that begin with site feasibility and end with a finished operational facility. Manages VIA’s Architectural and Engineering consultants in site and facility planning, budgets and schedules, architectural and engineering design, and construction management

Education and Experience:   Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, or Architecture, or an appropriate engineering or architectural related field, and at least 7 years’ experience in design, construction, or an acceptable combination thereof, preferably in the design, construction or supervision of major transit/multimodal, transportation or vertical capital project(s). This experience must include 5 years of project management experience. Registration as a professional engineer or architect in the state of Texas is required or obtained, within first 6 months if held in different state.
