Job Summary
Job Title:   ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER II

Starting Salary:   Min: $4,487- Mid: $6,127 per month

Job Description:   Responsible for assigned design, engineering, and construction projects. Performs project management of small to medium engineering design and construction projects. Provides budget input to the Director of Facility Engineering & Environmental. Applies professional management skills and technical knowledge to the coordination, management and execution of special projects, consultants, contracts, and VIA’s construction projects. Prepares materials for and makes presentations to upper management. Expected to work under only occasional supervision. This position will provide technical assistance to activities relative to the conceptual, design, cost estimating and construction phases of transit and maintenance facilities projects. This position requires professional interaction with VIA staff (especially those in planning, engineering, safety, security, procurement, finance, and maintenance.), as well as with consultants, contractors/subcontractors, to include state and local authorities.

Education and Experience:   Associates Degree is required, preferably in Engineering or Architecture. With a minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities design, construction contract compliance issues, procurement, and project management, or an acceptable combination of experience and education.
