Job Title:   TRANSIT POLICE DISPATCHER

Starting Salary:   Min: $3,579- Mid: $4,851 per month

Job Description:   Police Dispatcher is a specialized police civilian class, providing technical communications support for police activities. Responsible for handling incoming calls for police services, police and security dispatch and performs telecommunication services for the Department. In addition to dispatching services in both emergency and routine situations, performs varied record keeping and similar work in support of police activities.

Education and Experience:   Possession of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent and one (1) year experience as a certified police dispatcher. Licensed as a Police Telecommunicator by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to perform police telecommunication services in the State of Texas. Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) terminal operator certification by the Texas Department of Public Safety to access NCIC/TCIC or must be able to be licensed within six (6) months of employment.
