Job Title:   MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL TRAINER

Starting Salary:   Min: $5,408 – Mid: $7,441 per month

Job Description:   Individual is responsible for developing and providing technical training and instruction to VIA Fleet and Facilities personnel with the objective of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the VIA maintenance program through employee skills and knowledge enhancement. The training and instruction to be performed will range in scope from general discussions of vehicle and facility maintenance procedures to very detailed instruction in the operation, diagnostics and repair of highly complex vehicle and facility systems. The student audience will range from unskilled labor to highly skilled and experienced technicians. Trainer will act as a Lead to the students during training sessions.

Education and Experience:   Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Training and Development, Human Relations and Business, Education, Project Management, Automotive Technology, or related field. Five (5) years progressive experience as a transit or heavy equipment mechanic, lead, or supervisor. An equivalent combination education and/or experience may be considered.
