Job Title:   GENERAL FOREMAN - PASSENGER AMENITIES

Starting Salary:   $6,225 - $10,673 per month

Job Description:   Overall responsibility for leadership and management of the Passenger Amenities (PA) department. Uses VIA’s strategic goals and initiatives, customer comments and other such sources of information to administer and continuously update the Passenger Amenities Program to ensure overall customer satisfaction. Oversees the cleaning, servicing, repair and relocation/installation of various passenger amenities. Manages a large unionized workforce with varied levels of experience and technical expertise. Prepares work plans, schedules and procedures that supports this department. Develops specifications and other associated information for PA asset acquisition for associated services, equipment, materials, and supplies. May work closely with contracted services. Supports VIA’s Asset Management Program.

Education and Experience:   Requires a bachelor's degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and a minimum of five (5) years experience or an equivalent combination. Experience in Passenger Amentities or Facilities maintenance operations or public transit is preferred.
